Join SIMS urban/rural mission trip to Hangzhou, China, a city of 1.8 million people!
In partnership with Sir Run Run Shaw Hospital (SRRSH) and Zhejiang University's Children's Hospital (ZUCH), SIMS team will organize and host health expos and fairs throughout the city. Focus is on health education, child safety, with the goals of promoting the community's awareness to healthcare resources available to them at SRRSH and ZUCH. Provide health care and dental education, both to children and adults.
You will have an opportunity to share health topics to present at the health expo/fair with assistance from a translator. Health expos will be held in a variety of locations as part of the outreach efforts of SRRSH and ZUCH.
This is an amazing experience to cultural and historical sites in Hangzhou…and end with an excursion to Beijing to see the Great Wall of China!
Trip Dates: June 15, 2016 - July 1, 2016 (tentative)
Trip costs: $1900 (This set cost is reserved for LLU Students only; Final cost for all other non-LLU student participants may vary);
includes airfare, meals, lodging, and in-country transportation. School-based travel subsidies may apply. Fundraising opportunities available. Contact SIMS for more information.
