AHI Checklist

We’re so glad that you’ve decided to serve internationally! The following application process will ensure that you are approved for travel by the Adventist Health International Administrative Committee.  Why be approved, you ask?  Benefits of being approved include

  • AHI's provision of international health and medical insurance
  • Malpractice/liability insurance for medical professionals
  • Logistical support and resources

Here's how to apply for approval:

Step 2 - Documents to download, sign and return to AHI:

Please download the following form and carefully read it.  Sign where indicated and return the document to us using the contact information at the bottom of the webpage.

If you are under 18 years of age, please use the following form instead.

Once you are approved, AHI will provide you limited short-term travel insurance.  Please read a copy of the policy and coverages by clicking on the link below.  We will email you a copy of the policy and your insurance card prior to your departure.

  • Limited Short-term Insurance Policy- Incomplete (Note: For this policy, an approved volunteer is classified as CLASS I Insured and the limits of coverage are explained under Plan A.)

Are you or someone you are traveling with under the age of 18?  If so, please contact the Outgoing Program Coordinator for special instructions.
