In the summer 2011, SIMS hopes to take a team of students to the Haiti Adventist Hospital (HAH) to participate in a large housing renovation project for hospital staff and volunteers. In addition, trip participants will provide a wide variety of logistical support to HAH. The team’s activities will include:
- renovation of staff/volunteer housing
- sorting and organizing large quantities of donated medical and pharmaceutical supplies
- conducting a general clean-up of the hospital campus
- conducting a hospital-wide supply and equipment inventory
- offering health education
- providing dental care
- participating in rounds/observing in the hospital
