Join SIMS and the Buea Adventist Health Centre in hosting a large community health fair at their new hospital facility.   The health fair will incorporate health education lectures and demonstrations, health screenings, and individual health consultations.   Project participants will have the opportunity to participate in all aspects of the health fair, from teaching (translators provided) to health screenings and more.  SIMS participants will also have the opportunity to  witness to the children of Buea by putting together a VBS program at the local SDA church.

In addition to health fair activities, the SIMS team will experience more of the local culture through a tour of the local government hospital and visit to an orphanage or rural village to provide free health screenings. Participants will enjoy a hike on Mt. Cameroon and a day at the beach in Limbe with an optional trip to the primate wildlife rescue center.  Please plan to join us!

Estimated project cost:  $2,500, includes group travel expenses and trip supplies

Sign-up deadline:  October 2012.  $200 deposit due at time of application.
