Type of Student Housing:  Volunteers sleep in the hospital compound in an open room on bunkbeds/cots. There are army cots and mosquito netting provided. It is recommended to bring your own sleeping pad, a light sleeping bag or sheets and a light blanket (throw) to make your cot more comfortable.
Cost of Housing/month:  $10 per person per night
Participation fee: $200 Flat fee per person
Meal Plan:  The hospital provides 1 meal per day, which is the noon meal. Please bring your own food for breakfast and dinner. Dehydrated camping meals and MRE's work well since you just have to add hot water. Also, instant oatmeal, quick pasta, and microwavable meals work well.
  • Small local food markets and stands are located within walking distance from the hospital.
  • Cooking: there is a microwave, electic pot and electric pan for cooking.
  • Please bring your own dishes and cutlery.
Cost of Meals/month:  The daily noon meal is included in the $10 cost of housing.
