Global Conversations is a lunch-and-learn quarterly series for LLUH students, faculty, and employees to connect people and discuss global issues of interest – exploring cultures, international medicine, history, current events, training opportunities, and global health themes.

Description
Cultural beliefs as well as systems affect health outcomes in various communities around the world.  Understanding how cultural and social factors affect physical health can make an impact on how physicians addresses health and also prepare physicians who will provide health care to these various communities. The course will discuss how to organize successful medical collaborative trips abroad and cultural implications of medicine.  

Objectives
Upon completion of this course, the participant will be able to:

1. Discuss cultural implications of global health

2. Discuss strategies for global health engagement

3. Discuss logistics for global health engagement
